HOW TO READ THIS BOOK

This book was written so that I could share my corporate experiences and prevent others from making the same mistakes I made. Each lesson is divided into five sections with the definition below. The lessons in this book are divided into career stages.

What is the lesson?

This section gives a brief description of the worker bee lesson.

Good Experience

This is a real life example of the lesson and when I felt I did a good job of learning the lesson. This example usually comes after many experiences of not doing such a good job of learning the lesson.

Bad Experience

This is a real life example of the lesson and when I felt I did a poor job of learning the lesson. This example is usually from an early time of my career or when I forgot the lesson.

What did I learn?

This section is what I learned from my good and bad experiences. I am a true believer in learning from both the good and the bad. This section forced me to think about how I could prevent myself from making the same mistakes repeatedly.

How can you apply this lesson to your career?

This section takes the above sections: the good lesson, bad lesson and what I learned and generalizes them so that you do not have to make the same mistakes. If I can prevent you from making the same mistakes, I have reached my goal!
