Author Biography
Dustin Weeks is a recovering worker bee who has
extensive corporate experience. She has worked on the Chicago Board of Trade
exchange floor, for banks in Germany and Denmark, as well as in Silicon Valley.
Her career spans from North America to Europe and from investment banking to
corporate finance in both Silicon Valley start-ups and fortune 500 companies.
She is frequently asked to write and lecture on financial and technology topics.
Such topics include: Negotiating For What You Want, Strategies to Accelerate
Your Career, and Work-Life Balance strategies.
Dustin is a sought after speaker and has appeared on television and radio shows
such as Inside San Diego on KUSI, The Better Living Show on CBS affiliate
100.3/105.3 in Dallas and The Morning Show on B105.7 in Indianapolis. She has
been featured in and written articles for publications in the United States and
abroad including: Monster.com, Careers and the MBA, Dansk Bank Nyt, San Jose
Mercury News, Sunnyvale Sun, Investor Relations Quarterly, Investor Relations
Update and SD Forum News.
She hosted Dustin’s Kaleidoscope and was a contestant on the outdoor adventure
reality television show, No Boundaries, produced by Lion’s Gate. No Boundaries
aired on the WB channel, The Outdoor Life Network and internationally.
She holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BS from the
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Certificate in European
Institutions from the WHU Koblenz School of Corporate Management in Germany.
She is past board member of the National Investor Relations Institute’s Silicon
Valley Chapter and Mountain View Community Television (KMVT). She has hosted
many shows at KMVT including live coverage of the annual Mountain View Art and
Wine Festival and live election night coverage.
She considers herself a recovering worker bee who will someday be a Queen Bee.
